Forest Hills Eastern High School is proud to announce the hiring of Zac Clark as the next Head Coach of the Boys Varsity Basketball program. Following an extensive interview process, Coach Clark emerged as an exceptional candidate through his preparation, basketball expertise, and comprehensive vision for building a championship caliber program. His passion for teaching the game, developing student-athletes, and creating a positive, relationship-centered culture made him an outstanding fit to lead the Hawks into the future. Clark joins Forest Hills Eastern after serving as the Boys Varsity Assistant Coach at Forest Hills Central High School. Prior to that, he was the Reserve Team Head Men's Basketball Coach at Concordia University-Ann Arbor while also coaching independent 16U/17U travel basketball teams. A four year collegiate basketball player at Concordia University, Clark earned his degree in Physical Education before beginning his career as a Physical Education and Health teacher. Before college, he was a three-sport athlete at Britton-Deerfield High School in Southeast Michigan, competing in football, basketball, and baseball. During his basketball career, Clark earned Basketball All-State honors as both a junior and senior, finishing with more than 1,000 career points and over 800 rebounds. Throughout the hiring process, Coach Clark was impressive in his preparation, basketball knowledge, and vision for building a complete program. His detailed scouting reports, organized practice plans, and ability to think on his feet reflected an intentional approach to developing both players and teams. Coach Clark brings a positive, relationship-driven leadership style that emphasizes accountability, discipline, fun, and continuous improvement. As a former three-sport athlete, he also values multi-sport participation and the life lessons athletics provide beyond wins and losses. At the heart of Coach Clark's philosophy is a commitment to developing outstanding young men.
